Cincinnati Bengals fans celebrate at the 2021 NFL Draft in Cleveland, Ohio

The 2022 NFL Draft is scheduled from April 28-30th in Paradise, Nev. Coverage of the first round will start at 8 pm EST on Thursday, April 28th. The Cincinnati Bengals first round pick is the 31st pick of the draft since they were runner-ups to the Los Angeles Rams in this year’s Super Bowl.

It was initially expected that the Bengals would be looking for a top offensive lineman in the draft to protect Joe Burrow, but with their recent acquisitions this offseason to beef up their offensive line, they may turn their sights elsewhere. At No. 31, it will be hard to pinpoint who will be left on the board for the Bengals on their pick.

Let’s look ahead at the Cincinnati Bengals and the different NFL Draft Prop Bets for them.

Draft Outlook - Cincinnati Bengals

Since the Bengals went to work this offseason on their offensive line, Cincinnati will most likely turn their attention to their defense in the draft. In the latest projections, it is expected that cornerback Kaiir Elam from Florida will be the 31st pick of the draft, going to the Bengals. Elam allowed only 19 catches for 191 yards in 2021 against the wide receivers he faced.

The Bengals are familiar with picking corners over the years in the NFL draft. Most notably, they took Dre Kirkpatrick in 2012, Darqueze Dennard in 2014, and William Jackson in 2016. Will Elam be on the table long enough for the Bengals or will Cincinnati move to fill a different need?

The Bengals pick next at No. 63 in the second round. It is projected that the Bengals will continue to provide needed depth at the offensive line position to protect Joe Burrow. Offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer from Georgia will likely be the Bengals selection if he is still on the draft board.

The main advantage to drafting Salyer is his versatility. He has shown at Georgia that he can play any position on the line which proves to be a huge benefit to the Bengals in the event that any of their current offensive line starters goes down with an injury. It is unclear if the Bengals will continue to utilize him in a generic offensive line role, but this definitely adds flexibility, if needed.

Prop Bets of the Draft - Cincinnati Bengals

In terms of the players listed above, Elam has odds of +160 to be picked in the top 32 players of the draft. This puts him in the bottom of the middle of the players who are predicted to be picked up in the first round which explains how multiple teams could be looking to pick up Kaiir Elam from the draft.

Jamaree Salyer is tied for sixth-best odds of being the first lineman selected at +10000. He shares the same odds with ten other offensive lineman to explain how low of a chance and up in the air the odds are that the Bengals will choose Salyer over another solid offensive lineman. Elam has the same odds to be the first cornerback chosen.
