Cincinnati Bengals kicker Evan McPherson misses field goal vs. Steelers

The Cincinnati Bengals will take on the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2 of the NFL season. Both teams are 0-1 after their first matchup of the season and will be looking to avenge their losses with a needed win on Sunday.

The Bengals fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers last week in overtime that eventually ended in a Pittsburgh field goal.

Joe Burrow threw four picks and lost a fumble in the game but was able to bring the Bengals back to tie the game with two seconds left.

Cincinnati, with their backup snapper, failed to complete the extra point and a field goal in overtime to give the Steelers the win.

The Cowboys, on the other hand, could not get anything started on the offensive end of the field. They managed to only score three points on Sunday Night Football against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

To add more salt to the wound, Dak Prescott went down with an injury late in the game which will require him to miss around six weeks.

Let’s look ahead at the best prop bets to make for Sunday afternoon’s game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Dallas Cowboys.

Best Prop Bets

Cincinnati To Score On First Drive (+141)

The Cincinnati Bengals are coming off one of their worst performances in over a year and that is in large part due to the personal performance of Joe Burrow. Even with an upgraded offensive line, Burrow struggled to protect the ball.

He is still a young quarterback, but he is talented enough to not let that happen again. I like Burrow to drive the Bengals down the field in their first drive to score points and win this prop bet.

Cincinnati Bengals Most First Downs (-271)

This is a safe prop bet because it is pretty clear that the Bengals will have more first downs than the Cowboys with the offense that the Cowboys will put on the field. Cooper Rush will be leading the offense to replace Dak Prescott.

It is expected that they will be heavily reliant on their run game so it is up to the Bengals defense to see if they can win this bet.

First Half Highest Scoring (-110)

I think the Bengals will come out swinging in the first half and the Cowboys will muster up all of the energy that they have to give to maybe push across some points.

I could see the Bengals being more run-heavy in the second half if they have a lead in the first half. This could go either way, but I think Joe Burrow is taking this week of practice to really focus on this game and will come out ready to roll.

Expected Outcome

The Bengals are favored in this game and it is rightfully so even though they are on the road. The Cowboys did not look good in their first game against the Buccaneers, and I can almost assure that they will look even worse without their starting quarterback.

I like the Bengals to win this game and cover the seven point spread.
