Miami Heat vs. Boston Celtics Eastern Conference Finals Game 4 Betting Preview

Game 4 between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics takes place Monday evening, as the Heat lead the series 2-1 despite facing some adversity in Game 3.

Heat Betting Outlook Game 4

Bam Adebayo finally showed up for the Heat in Game 3, as he went off for 31 points on 15-of-22 shooting to go along with ten rebounds, six assists, and four steals.

Adebayo was establishing a dominant position inside and using his wide array of hookshots to beat the defenders thrown his way inside.

With the Heat struggling to get much offense outside of Jimmy Butler in this series, it was very much welcomed for them to see Adebayo pick up the scoring load.

Butler missed the second half of the Heat’s win due to inflammation in his knee, but before his exit, he finished with eight points on 3-of-8 shooting. Tyler Herro (groin) will miss Game 4 while Butler could return, according to ESPN.

P.J. Tucker and Max Strus chipped in 17 and 16 points, respectively.

In his first game back in a while, Kyle Lowry put up 11 points, six assists, and four steals.

The key for the Heat to keep this momentum going is to get the same type of production from Adebayo to complement Butler’s strong scoring efforts; as we all know, Butler is going to give it all he’s got out there.

Celtics Betting Outlook Game 4

Jaylen Brown exploded for a playoff best 40 points on 14-of-20 shooting to go along with nine rebounds in Game 3, as he hit timely shot after timely shot to give the Celtics a chance to pull off a come from behind win.

Jayson Tatum, however, was limited to just 10 points on 3-of-14 shooting.

Al Horford provided 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting to go along with 14 rebounds and three blocks. Marcus Smart had 16 points, seven assists, and four rebounds.

Despite the Celtics losing the game, they should feel somewhat encouraged that they were able to come back and make it close despite not getting much production out of Tatum.

However, the Celtics caught a little bit of luck with Butler not being available for the entire second half, but the fact that they were still able to come back and put themselves in a position to pull off a potential comeback speaks volumes to their grit.

It will take a renewed effort from the Celtics’ defense to shut down Adebayo as well if they want to secure the win.

The Pick: Celtics Win

The Celtics showed enough resiliency in Game 3 to suggest that they can even up the series in front of their home fans.

In the playoffs, the home team is generally favored, especially this late into it, because the energy from the home crowd gets the team going.

Tatum is too talented of a player to score just 10 points. Expect him to bounce back.
