Columbus Crew vs. FC Cincinnati MLS Best Prop Bets
The Hell is Real Derby has its final regular season meetings on Saturday as FC Cincinnati hosts the Columbus Crew at TQL Stadium. The game not only involves bragging rights between the teams, but they are in a feisty battle for playoff positioning. Columbus is in the final playoff spot with 35 points, and FC Cincinnati has 34 points.
Columbus won at home last month 2-0 with goals from Cucho Hernandez and Lucas Zelarayan. Both teams are coming off a draw, and Columbus has nine games left, while FCC has eight.
FCC is the overall favorite but let’s take a look at some of the prop bets that are available for this contest.
Goalscoring Props
In the last ten games, FC Cincinnati has scored 20 goals and allowed 20. The Crew have scored 16 goals in their last ten games, with at least two goals in six of those games. They have allowed 12 goals in those games, giving up more than one on five occasions.
Brandon Vazquez has a team record of 15 goals on the season for FCC, and he has scored in four of the last five games. At home, he is even better, with a goal in five straight games at TQL Stadium and nine goals overall at home. Cucho has scored in three straight games for Columbus, and he has two multi-goal games in his eight outings.
Vazquez is the goalscoring favorite at +110, while Cucho is +170 as the top Crew favorite. Brenner is +170 with Luciano Acosta at +220. Zelarayan scored on a penalty kick against FCC last time, and he is +240 to score again. FCC leads the league with nine penalty kicks conceded, and Zelarayan will also be on the ball for any goalscoring free kicks.
Cucho scored first against Atlanta on Sunday, and he’s +450 to score the first goal against FCC. Vazquez is +320 to score the first goal, and he has more goals at TQL than any other FCC player.
As far as multiple goal games go, Vazquez is +600 for Cincinnati. He has three multi-goal games on the season, including one against Miami on July 30. Cucho is +1100 to score two or more goals, which he did on Sunday against Atlanta United.
Half Props
FC Cincinnati ranks among the best teams in the league in the first half with 24 goals before halftime. In this game, they are -135 to score first, with the Crew at +105. FCC is +165 to win the first half but keep in mind they’ve been outscored 27-24 in the first half this season.
With those stats in mind, if you like the Crew to win the game, check out this prop. Columbus is +950 to win the game from behind. They have their second-longest unbeaten road streak in team history and haven’t lost outside of Ohio since April 9.
Draw Props
Both teams played to a draw last weekend, with Columbus tying Atlanta 2-2 and FCC tying at New York Red Bulls 1-1. Columbus has the second-most draws in MLS this season with 11, and FCC is right behind them with 10. FCC has drawn four of their last five games and eight of the last ten, while the Crew have drawn two of their last three road games.
A draw on Saturday is +265. A 1-1 draw is +650, and a 2-2 draw is +1200.
The series includes three draws, two of them at TQL Stadium. They played to a 2-2 draw in 2021 and a 0-0 draw in 2020.
The teams also played a 2-2 game in Columbus back in 2019. Five of the nine games between the teams have included at least four goals, and over 3.5 goals is +170.
