Game 5 between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics takes place Wednesday evening, as the series is tied up at 2-2 following a blowout victory by the Celtics.

With the series shifting back to Miami, the Celtics are still favored by a -2 spread to take a 3-2 series lead.

Celtics Game 5 Betting Outlook

Jayson Tatum bounced back in Game 4 after a horrible Game 3, as he put up 31 points on 8-of-16 shooting to go along with eight rebounds and five assists.

Derrick White provided 13 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and three steals. Payton Pritchard came off the bench to score 14 points. Robert Williams had 12 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks.

Jaylen Brown struggled after putting up a career-high 40 points in Game 3, as he had 12 points on just 5-of-20 shooting.

The Celtics are looking formidable once again, though, with Tatum leading the way as the superstar scorer and the role players all doing their thing offensively and defensively.

As of this writing, both Marcus Smart and Robert Williams are questionable heading into the game.

The Celtics proved they can win without Smart, but they also got very lucky that the Heat got very limited production out of their guys. As long as Tatum continues to carry the scoring load and the Celtics keep committing to the defensive end as a whole, they’ll be tough to beat.

Heat Game 5 Outlook

Jimmy Butler had just six points on 3-of-14 shooting his last time out. Simply put, he was awful, and if the Heat hope to advance to the Finals for the second time in three years, they’re going to need Butler to show up and do some damage.

Butler has a track record of getting it done in the playoffs, as evidenced by him carrying the load down in the Orlando bubble.

Bam Adebayo also cooled off significantly following a tremendous Game 3, as he had just nine points, but on an efficient 3-of-5 shooting.

In the playoffs, though, you can’t worry too much about efficiency. You have to be aggressive, take every shot you can, and just try to inflict damage the best way you can within the confines of your offense.

Victor Oladipo was the main bright spot for the Heat, as he came off the bench to drop 23 points to go along with six assists. Duncan Robinson also looked solid considering he hasn’t gotten much run recently, as he scored 14 points on 5-of-11 shooting.

If the Heat hope to take the lead in this series, then they’re going to need Butler and Adebayo to play like their All-Star selves.

Game 5 Eastern Conference Finals Bet Pick: Heat Win

Heading back to South Beach should do wonders for the Heat, as they thrive off the energy of their home fans.

Butler isn’t the type to have bad games on a consistent basis, so expect him to have a bounce-back game.

With that being said, expect the Heat to win Game 5 and cover the spread.
