The Hell is Real Derby has its first of two meetings for this season on Sunday as the Columbus Crew welcome FC Cincinnati to Lower.com Field. With the teams battling not only for bragging rights, but also for positioning in the standings, Sunday’s game promises to be a wild and thrilling affair.

Both teams had 2-2 draws on Wednesday in which they let late leads slip away. Columbus gave up a goal in stoppage time for their draw at D.C. United while FCC allowed a goal at home to Vancouver with eight minutes to play.

Both teams have now played 20 of their 34 games in the regular season. FCC sit in sixth place with 27 points, one more than the Crew have accumulated so far this season. As the teams get ready to meet in Columbus, lets take a look at some of the prop bets that are available for this contest. 

Goalscoring Prop Bets For Columbus Crew vs. FC Cincinnati

Both teams are racking up the goals as of late with each scoring at least two goals in three of their last four games. Since signing with the Crew, Cucho Hernandez has three goals in less than 90 minutes played and Derrick Etienne Jr. had two goals against Chicago Fire last weekend.

Brenner has five goals in the last month for FCC while Brandon Vazquez has a team record 10 goals on the season. All-Star Luciano Acosta is back from suspension and hs hes six goals on the season while Alvaro Barreal scored after Vazquez on Wednesday.

Cucho is +180 for an anytime goal while Vazquez is +185, even with Crew midfielder Lucas Zelarayan. Brenner is +225 while Etienne is +240 and Acosta is +300. Zelarayan hasn’t scored in two months but he takes the Crew’s free kicks and FCC leads the league with six penalty kicks conceded. 

Cucho scored first on Wednesday and he’s +450 to score the first goal again on Sunday. Vazquez and Zelerayan are +500 with Brenner at +550. 

Cucho, Etienne, Vazquez and Brenner all have multi-goal games. Cucho scored twice on Wednesday and he is +1200 to score two goals on Sunday, as are Zelarayan and Vazquez. Brenner, who had a hat trick against NYCFC, is +1600 to score twice and +10000 to have a hat trick. 

Half Props

FC Cincinnati are among the best teams in the league in the first half. They have 19 goals in the first half this season, third-most in MLS. In this game they are +140 to score first with the Crew at -180. FCC is also +135 to score in the first half, good value for a team with a penchant to score before the break. 

With those stats in mind, if you like the Crew to win the game, check out this prop. Columbus is +650 to win the game from behind. Both teams blew late leads this week and FCC has scored first in three of their last four games, but not won any of those contests.

Draw Props

Both teams played 2-2 games in the midweek and FCC has four straight draws, including another 2-2 game at New England. A draw is listed at +270 but more specifically, a 2-2 draw is listed at +1300.

The last four games between these teams have ended 3-2 Crew, 2-2, 2-1 FCC and 3-0 Crew. And the first-ever matchup, also in Columbus in 2019, ended 2-2. Whatever you look for this weekend, make sure you find some goal-scoring props as this game is likely to be high-scoring yet again.
