Mets pitcher Jacob deGrom throws a pitch against the Dodgers

In what seemed like a complete lock Monday night, Broncos country let us down in a stunning 17-16 loss in Seattle against the Seahawks. Broncos -6.5 was a play that not only I thought was a lock, but many personalities across sports.

The Broncos had their opportunities, however, coming up short on the goal line two times in this game. We still managed to go two-for-four yesterday, starting the week off on a solid note.

As football unfortunately takes two days off, we still have a full slate of MLB to bet on tonight. Let's stay hot and keep the slips cashing.

Bet No. 1: Phillies/Marlins Under 0.5 First Inning Runs (-130)

Marlins ace Sandy Alcantara takes the mound tonight against the Phillies in what is the start of a brand new series for both teams.

While the Marlins have been extremely underwhelming so far this season, Alcantara has not been, as he has been one of the MLB's best starting pitchers.

The Phillies starter will be Bailey Falter who is 4-3 this season with an ERA of 4.02. Even though the numbers are not fantastic, I think he can keep the suspect Marlins offense quiet in the beginning of this game.

Bet No. 2: Angels +1.5 (-189)

The Guardians are a hot baseball team right now, winning four straight games.

If it weren't for such a dominant Guardians bullpen, they may not have won last nights game. Konnor Pilkington gave up four runs in the first few innings of the game until the bullpen came in and shut things down.

The Guardians will have to start another pitcher who is not experienced in Cody Morris due to the injuries they still have in their rotation. I'm not big on Morris and hopefully the Guardians can still win, but I see this game being very close.

Bet No. 3: Mets -1.5 (-179)

Rarely in the MLB do you see a game where the moneyline favorite reaches near (-400), let alone actually go into that range and exceed it.

But, for the Mets, when you have such a dominant starter on the mound in Jacob deGrom, why not make the moneyline (-455)?

While it wouldn't make sense to place a straight bet on a team that is such a big favorite in terms of your return on investment, taking the run line has way more "bettor friendly" odds, so that's what we're going with.

Bet No. 4: Yankees ML (-162)

We're back riding the Yankees once again, this time when Gerrit Cole is on the mound.

While it hasn't always been like this in terms of his entire career, it seems like this year when Cole is on the mound for the Yankees it is hit or miss.

Despite being so cold in the second half of the season, the Yankees are still 5.5 games ahead of the second place Rays in their respective division.

In what is game one of a new series for the Yankees, they will be going against their famous rivals in the Boston Red Sox. Give me the Yankees on the road here and let's see if we can head to the cash counter.
