The 2022 MLB Home Run Derby will take place on Monday, July 18 at 8 p.m. ET at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California. New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso, has won the last two Home Run Derbies and is looking to three-peat. He is currently the favorites to win the derby at +175.

Pete Alonso, NYM 1B

Alonso is one of the best power hitters in all of baseball. He is currently fifth in baseball in home runs hit with 24. Pete Alonso is probably the one in this derby that can hit a baseball over 500 feet long. He is going to be bet on a lot to win the derby, but will someone else has some value?

Kyle Schwarber, PHI OF

Schwarber is one of the hottest power hitters in all of baseball and is the second favorite to win the 2022 MLB Home Run Derby at +375 odds. He is going to put on a show for the fans and he will not disappoint.

Kyle Schwarber leads the National League in home runs with 29. He is second in all of baseball, right behind Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees with 35, who for some reason is not participating in the derby.

Juan Soto, WSH OF

Juan Soto is the third favorite to win the 2022 MLB Home Run Derby at +450. He is really the main source of power on Washington and Soto can drive the baseball really deep and he can be another candidate to hit them over 500 feet.

Juan Soto defeated Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels in the Home Run Derby in one of the rounds last season. Soto may have the best shot to dethrone Pete Alonso. Soto has 20 home runs this season, which is tied for 20th in all of baseball.

Ronald Acuna Jr., ATL OF

Ronald Acuna Jr. is the fourth favorite to win the 2022 MLB Home Run Derby at +650. He only has eight home runs for the Atlanta Braves so far this season. Acuna Jr. is a fade bet because he is facing NYM first baseman Pete Alonso in Round 1.

Julio Rodriguez, SEA OF

Julio Rodriguez has the fifth-best odds to win the 2022 MLB Home Run Derby at +800. He has hit 16 home runs as a rookie and will be a fan favorite for this one in the American League. Rodriguez has the Seattle Mariners in prime playoff position and is a great value bet.

Corey Seager, TEX SS

Corey Seager has the sixth-best odds to win the 2022 MLB Home Run Derby at +1200. He has hit 22 home runs with the Texas Rangers on an improved baseball team. Seager has low odds for a reason.

Jose Ramirez, CLE 3B

Jose Ramirez has the seventh-best odds to win the 2022 MLB Home Run Derby at +1600. He has hit 19 home runs so far this season. Ramirez has provided some pop for the Cleveland Guardians' offense. However, there is a reason why he has low odds.

Jose Ramirez does not bode well against the top three odds of this Home Run Derby let alone the top five. It would be a feel-good story for the city of Cleveland if he won it. He is one of the reasons why the Guardians are in the American League Central race and it is something the fans can get behind with Jose Ramirez though.

Albert Pujols, STL 1B

Albert Pujols is a feel-good story for the St. Louis Cardinals and has only hit six home runs for them so far this season. This is his last go around and would be amazing, but he is not going anywhere in this Home Run Derby though.

Think Ohio's Jose Ramirez or Middletown-native Kyle Schwarber can win the 2022 MLB Derby? We boosted their odds to +250. Get in on the action now!
