The NFC Championship Game between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams is expected to be a competitive affair throughout. With the Rams entering as a 3.5-point favorite, it is hard to pick which team will come out on top as both of these NFC West teams look to secure a spot in the Super Bowl. Instead, there are some spots in the player prop market where bettors may be able to find more value.

Odell Beckham Jr. Anytime TD Scorer (+140)

Since arriving in Los Angeles, Odell Beckham Jr. has been an impactful target for Matt Stafford and the Rams’ passing attack. He has scored a touchdown in six of the Rams’ 10 games since coming over from Cleveland, including one of the team’s two playoff games. At a nice plus price, he is worth backing to get into the end zone here as well, as the Rams continue to further integrate him into their passing game.

It is worth pointing out that Beckham has failed to score in both of the Rams’ previous meetings with the 49ers this season. However, one of those games was his first with the Rams after the team acquired him before he was fully up to speed with the offense. The second was something of an anomaly, as the Rams just couldn’t get anything going offensively after building a 17-0 first-half lead, and Beckham should be more involved this time around.

Jimmy Garoppolo Under 231.5 Passing Yards (-115)

The performance of Jimmy Garoppolo at quarterback has been somewhat mystifying this postseason for the San Francisco 49ers. His team has won both of their playoff games so far, but Garoppolo has been anything but impressive in the process, throwing for 303 yards and no touchdowns in those two games. Here, we look at an opportune spot to take the under on his passing yardage prop, as he should struggle once again.

Garoppolo has played the Rams twice this season, going above this yardage mark once and below it once. However, his shoulder injury concerns combined with his dismal passing numbers in recent weeks make him more likely to go under this total once again. With the recipe for the Niners clearly being to win with defense and their running game this postseason, Garoppolo will be cast into a game manager role to the detriment of his statistics.

Matt Gay Over 1.5 Field Goals (-110)

Finally, we look at the kicking game for a prop bet that carries some value heading into the NFC Championship Game. Los Angeles Rams kicker Matt Gay has been reliable with his leg for much of this season, converting on all but three of his field-goal attempts combined between the regular season and playoffs. Here, we look at his over 1.5 field goals made prop, as the Rams kicker should continue to make an impact for his team.

This postseason, Gay has made at least two field goals in both of the Rams’ victories, including a game-winner last week against the Buccaneers. In a game where the Rams are trying to break down a stout Niners defense, red zone trips could fall short more often than usual, which will call Gay into action enough to get him a couple of made field goal attempts.
