Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon falls forward vs. Dallas Cowboys

The Cincinnati Bengals will travel on Sunday to take on the New York Jets for a 1 p.m. kickoff. The Bengals, surprisingly, come into this game with a worse record than the Jets at 0-2.

The Jets are 1-1 with their win last week in Cleveland against the Browns. The Bengals have lost each of their first two games to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys by three points each game.

Joe Flacco was able to help the Jets overcome a thirteen-point deficit with less than two minutes left in the game against the Browns. Cleveland missed what turned out to be a crucial extra point in the fourth quarter which opened the door for the Jets after they recovered an onside kick.

Joe Burrow has struggled greatly thus far in his first two games this season. He has 537 yards with three touchdowns and four interceptions and a quarterback rating of 73.1.

His lack of success has contributed greatly to the struggles of the Bengals overall, especially with how optimistic Bengals fans have been about their team this season.

Let’s look at the three best prop bets for this matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and the New York Jets.

Three Best Prop Bets

Cincinnati Bengals Over 2.5 Touchdowns (-179)

The Bengals are bound to get out of their slump any week now, and what better way to do it than against a team who has struggled for a considerable amount of years.

There is no way that the Bengals fail to score three touchdowns with Joe Burrow throwing to weapons like Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd, and Joe Mixon on the ground.

You could make the argument that the Bengals only eclipsed this once this season with their three-touchdown effort against the Steelers, but the Bengals can’t be this bad for long. Their offense is set up to be one of the most potent in the NFL if they can figure out their issues.

Cincinnati To Win By 1-13 Points (+128)

This is a slightly bold pick for two reasons. One being that the Bengals could easily lose this game. They are five-point favorites, but they have lost both of their first two games being higher points favorites than in this matchup.

The other being that the Bengals could figure out their issues and beat the Jets by more than thirteen.

If I could bet on which one is more likely, I would say the Jets have a better chance of winning. On the other hand, I like the Bengals to win in this matchup, and winning by more than thirteen is tough to do in the NFL for any team.

New York Jets Over 1.5 Field Goals

The Jets are not very good but have proved that they can move the ball and score behind the arm of Joe Flacco.

I think the Bengals defense has been struggling and will let the Jets drive. This will allow for more opportunities for the Jets to kick field goals and for them to hit the over in field goals made.
