Browns vs. Ravens Week 14 Prop Bets to Make

The Ravens and Browns are set to meet for the second time in three weeks and for the second straight game on the Browns’ schedule. And while the Browns come into the game as slight favorites, the prop betting markets for this contest are very intriguing based on how both teams have been playing.

These three props, in particular, are worth taking a look at, as both teams look to solve their offensive issues in this key division matchup.

First Scoring Play: Ravens Field Goal (+310)

Right now, the Baltimore Ravens have been struggling to get into the end zone, as we saw the last time these two teams met. The Ravens scored just one touchdown against the Browns a couple of weeks ago, and the recent play of Lamar Jackson doesn’t suggest that they will improve much on that side of the ball. But the Ravens did open the scoring against the Browns with a field goal two weeks ago and are a decent value to do so again here.

The thought process behind this bet is that the Ravens will be able to move the ball to an extent on offense early in the game while they are running through the scripted portion of their offensive game plan.

But their drive will stall when Jackson has less room with which to operate, and Justin Tucker’s accuracy will prompt a successful field goal attempt. At better than 3/1 odds, this is certainly a shot worth taking.

Ravens Under 19.5 Points (EVEN)

Another prop bet worth taking a look at in this game is the Ravens to score under 19.5 points at even odds. This selection is based on the way that the Ravens have been playing offensively, where they have scored under 20 points in each of their last four games.

The last time that they broke the 20 point mark was against the Minnesota Vikings, whose defense is so porous that it let the Detroit Lions beat it just a week ago.

Both teams should have a hard time scoring in this matchup, as the Browns have been far from stellar on offense themselves. In fact, the Browns are averaging just 10 points per game over their last three games prior to last week’s bye. But the Ravens being on the road here in a must-win game for the Browns makes them a solid candidate to score well under 19.5 points.

Ravens Under 2 Touchdowns (-106)

In case you haven’t noticed, there is a theme developing with these prop bet selections for Ravens vs. Browns. That theme is a lack of faith in the offense of the Baltimore Ravens, which has been sputtering on a regular basis over the last month or so of this season. Here, bettors should consider taking the Ravens to score under two touchdowns at just under even odds.

Last week, the Ravens did reach the two-touchdown mark, which would have been a push for the purposes of this prop bet. But their second touchdown came in the final minute of the fourth quarter, as the Ravens have not been able to move the ball in enemy territory consistently in over a month.

That trend will continue here in a hostile environment, where the Ravens will have to worry about false starts and other obstacles stemming from the loud crowd, in addition to their own issues executing their offense.
