Bulls at Grizzlies MLK NBA Day Bet Preview
The NBA once again has a nice slate of games taking place on MLK Day, including one in Memphis. The Grizzlies are set to host the Chicago Bulls, and this is a matchup of two of the top teams in the NBA.
Chicago comes into this game with a record of 27-14, but this team is currently heading in the wrong direction. The Bulls have lost three straight games, and they are losing their grip on the top of the Eastern Conference.
Memphis has gotten off to a 30-15 start this season, and they are now one of the best teams in the Western Conference. The Grizzlies had won 11 straight before that loss, and they will be looking to build a new winning streak.
The Memphis Grizzlies are 7.5-point betting favorites over the Chicago Bulls.
Bulls Dealing With Injury
Everything was going well for the Bulls to begin the year, but they just can’t seem to keep their best players on the floor. Alex Caruso is set to make his return to the lineup, but now the team will be playing without Zach LaVine.
The one constant for the Bulls has been DeMar DeRozan, and he just might be the league’s MVP this season. DeRozan is scoring close to 26 points per game, and his presence has turned the Bulls into a contender in the Eastern Conference.
There are still some questions on defense for Chicago, and those will have to be figured out as the season moves along. The Bulls have given up at least 113 points in each of their last four losses this season.
Grizzlies Getting Some Stops
Memphis has been a great defensive team this season, but especially during the most recent winning streak. The Grizzlies did give up 112 points to the Mavericks in their most recent loss, but they have been holding teams to a low total.
Steven Adams anchors the defense for Memphis, and he also leads the team with 9.3 rebounds per game. Adams will have to protect the rim on Monday as the Bulls have plenty of athletic pieces that can score inside.
Ja Morant continues to be the offensive star for Memphis, leading the team with 24.4 points and 6.8 assists per game. If the Grizzlies are shooting the ball well, then they give Morant plenty of room to operate.
Bulls Battle in Loss
Chicago is just dealing with so much adversity at this time that it’s hard to see them picking up a win in Memphis. The Bulls do have a team that continues to shine when faced with a challenge, and that could be the case yet again in this one.
The Grizzlies didn’t play very well in their most recent game, but this team had been on a roll in 2022. Memphis is going to get back on track and pick up an impressive win in front of a packed house.
Memphis is going to win this game, but it’s not going to be easy for the home team. Take the 7.5-points and bet on the Chicago Bulls as they keep this game extremely close on Monday.
