Cincinnati Bengals vs. San Francisco 49ers Week 14 Prop Bets
The Cincinnati Bengals will host the San Francisco 49ers in a Saturday afternoon clash at 4:25 p.m. on CBS at Paul Brown Stadium. Both teams are in the playoff hunt in their respective conferences and need this win in week 13 as the season is coming to its close.
The Bengals have won in two of their last three games but fell last week to the Los Angeles Chargers in a game where the Chargers' passing game was able to dismantle the Cincinnati defense.
The 49ers have won their last three out of four contests. They lost last weekend to the Seattle Seahawks, who were able to pull away for the 49ers in the second half. Both teams will be looking to get back on the right side in the win column on Sunday and avenge their losses from last weekend.
Let's look at the best prop bets for Sunday's matchup between the Bengals and the 49ers.
Best Prop Bets
Jimmy Garoppolo Under 249.5 yards (-115)
Jimmy Garoppolo has thrown for over 249.5 yards in five out of the twelve games that he has played this season. Most of those games where he didn't hit the 250-yard mark, he wasn't able to eclipse 200 yards.
The 49ers rely heavily on the run, and I don't expect that to change against a Bengals defense who is coming off of a bad week and will be looking to make a statement in this crucial matchup. The Bengals are giving up 257 yards per game to opposing offenses, but they have faced much better passing teams than the 49ers.
Cincinnati Bengals Over 2.5 Team Touchdowns (-125)
Joe Burrow has not been able to get back to his multiple touchdown games in a few weeks, but he will be going against the 28th worst defense for opposing completion percentage. The 49ers defense ranks 20th in opponent points per game.
If Burrow is able to get two touchdowns, then I expect Mixon to get at least one in this contest. The 49ers rank 21st in opponent yards per rush and 29th in opponent rush touchdowns per game.
Cincinnati Bengals Over 23.5 Total Points (-120)
To go along with the last prop bet, if the Bengals are able to score three touchdowns, then they will eclipse the 23.5 point mark. The 49ers defense gives up 23.2 points per game, on average, and the Bengals are the seventh-ranked offense, scoring 27.6 points per game.
Cincinnati needs this win badly and will be playing much better football than last week in front of their home crowd. This is a must-win for the Bengals, and they will need to score at least 24 to give themselves a chance to win this game.
Expected Outcome
Even though the 49ers are favored by two points, I like the Bengals to win this one and pull off the upset since they are fighting with the Ravens for the top of the AFC North and will be needing a win this week at home.
