Chicago Bulls center Tristan Thompson (3) defends Cleveland Cavaliers forward Cedi Osman (16) during the second half of a March game in Chicago.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are coming off a loss to the Toronto Raptors but currently hold the tie-breaker between them to avoid falling into the play-in tournament. The Chicago Bulls, on the other hand, have been on a free fall themselves, as they’ve lost three of their last 10 games.

We should be in for an exciting NBA game!

Betting Odds & Lines

The point spread of this game at Cavaliers -2. The over/under currently sits at 223.5.

Cavs Players to Watch Out For

Darius Garland has been on absolute fire recently, averaging 25.7 points and 11.3 assists per game over the month of March. In his last game, he had 18 points and 10 assists. Garland is always a threat to score the ball, but he also goes out there with a willingness to set his teammates up for some good looks right in their sweet spots.

Evan Mobley is coming off an efficient performance his last time out, as he put up 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting, eight rebounds, and three blocks. Mobley has been instrumental with the Cavs missing Jarrett Allen. The future is bright for the USC product.

Lauri Markkanen also played an important role for the Cavs in their most recent game, as he finished with 20 points on 6-of-10 shooting and 10 rebounds. Kevin Love chipped in with 12 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Both forwards have been very important in stretching the floor for the Cavs, which opens up their offense in so many different ways.

Cleveland is 39-30-4 against the spread this season and 32-39-2 on over/unders. They are 23-13 as the home team.

Bulls Players to Watch Out For

After missing last night’s game with a groin strain, DeMar DeRozan is listed as probable heading into this matchup. DeRozan was playing MVP level basketball prior to the All-Star break but has cooled off just a bit recently. He’s still putting up solid numbers, though, as he’s averaging 22.4 points on 50 percent shooting to go along with 4.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game in his last five games.

Zach LaVine is coming off a spectacular game, as he put up 39 points on 12-of-23 shooting despite the loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.

Nikola Vucecic chipped in with 16 points, nine rebounds, and three assists. Coby White came off the bench to drop 23 points.

This season, Chicago is 38-34-1 against the spread and 35-36-2 on over/unders. They are 16-21 as the away team.

Bulls Win

Both teams have been struggling mightily recently, but with DeRozan likely returning for this one, that should give Chicago just enough for them to pull out this win. This game doesn’t really favor a team for a reason, and that is because both teams have really fallen off recently.

Given how close this game is to be expected, the over/under will likely hit below 222 points.
