Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland (10) makes a three-point basket late in the fourth quarter against the New York Knicks at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are coming off a loss to the Atlanta Hawks, as it’s becoming increasingly likely that they’ll have to settle for the play-in tournament.

The New York Knicks, on the other hand, have won four of their last five games, but their playoff hopes are officially dead.

We should be in for an exciting NBA game!

Betting Odds & Lines

The point spread of this game at Cavs -2. The over/under is currently set at 226.

Cavs Players to Watch Out For

Darius Garland is coming off a decent performance, as he had 18 points and eight assists in his last game.

Cedi Osman provided some great production off the bench his last time out, finishing with 21 points, six rebounds, and four assists.

Moses Brown has stepped in nicely for the injured Jarrett Allen, as he finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds his last time out.

These games down the stretch of the season are becoming increasingly important for the Cavs, as they hope to at least keep the top spot in the play-in tournament at this point.

Just a couple of months ago, the Cavs were the feel-good story around the league, with their young talent emerging faster than anyone could’ve imagined. However, an NBA season is 82 games long, and fatigue, injuries, and the mental grind can catch up to a young squad like Cleveland.

In order for Cleveland to get back to their winning ways, they’re going to need more out of Caris LeVert, who recently broke out for 32 points, six rebounds, and four assists.

They could also use more out of Kevin Love and Lauri Markkanen, as both combined for 16 points on just 6-of-19 shooting from the field.

Cleveland is 39-34-4 against the spread this season and 34-41-2 on over/unders. They are 18-20 as the away team.

Knicks Players to Watch Out For

Evan Fournier can light it up, as he is coming off a 30 point performance on 10-of-16 shooting, including six 3-pointers his last time out.

RJ Barrett added 25 points on 9-of-17 shooting. Alec Burks put up a solid all-around performance of 12 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists.

Immanuel Quickley provided a nice punch off the bench, scoring 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting.

Julius Randle will be out for this one, which will give way to Obi Toppin to potentially put in a good performance.

At this point, the Knicks are looking to just wrap up this season as soon as possible.

This season, New York is 36-41-0 against the spread and 38-37-2 on over/unders. They are 16-22 as the home team.

Cavs Win

The Cavs have an easy opportunity in front of them to solidify their standing as the top seed in the play-in tournament.

This will present a perfect opportunity for LeVert to get right and a bunch of their other role players to earn their keep on this roster.

Expect the Cavs to win and cover the spread.
