The Cleveland Cavaliers are coming off a huge win over the Denver Nuggets, as they built a one-game lead over the Toronto Raptors to avoid the play-in tournament in the process.

The Detroit Pistons, on the other hand, have been playing better basketball lately, winning five of their last ten games. However, their sights are still clearly focused on the future.

We should be in for an exciting NBA game!

Betting Odds & Lines

The point spread of this game is Cavaliers -8. As for the over/under, that is at 216.

Cavs Players to Watch Out For

Darius Garland has been on absolute fire recently, averaging 25.4 points and 10.6 assists per game over his last seven games. In his last game, he had 25 points and 14 assists. Garland is always a threat to score the ball, but he also goes out there with a willingness to set his teammates up for some good looks right in their sweet spots.

Evan Mobley is coming off a great performance his last time out, as he put up 27 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocks. Mobley has been instrumental with the Cavs missing Jarrett Allen. The future is bright for the USC product.

Lauri Markkanen also stepped up and played an important role for the Cavs in their most recent game, as he finished with 31 points, ten rebounds, four steals, and three assists. Kevin Love chipped in with 12 points, nine rebounds, and four assists. Both forwards have been very important in stretching the floor for the Cavs, which opens up their offense in so many different ways.

This season, Cleveland is 39-27-4 against the spread and 29-39-2 on over/unders. They are 22-12 as the home team.

Pistons Players to Watch Out For

Saddiq Bey is coming off a career-high 51 points in his last game, which was a Pistons victory over the Orlando Magic, as he shot 17-of-27 from the field, including ten 3-pointers. He also put up nine rebounds, four assists, and three steals, putting in a well-rounded overall game in addition to his high-scoring performance.

Marvin Bagley is also coming off a huge performance, as he put up 20 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Bagley has looked like a completely different player since he was traded from the Sacramento Kings.

Isaiah Stewart put up 16 points and ten rebounds in that game as well.

This season, Detroit is 37-31-2 against the spread and 34-34-2 on over/unders. They are 8-28 as the away team.

Cavs Win

This game should be fairly easy for the Cavs to win. The Pistons have been a better team recently, but the Cavs should be playing with a sense of urgency given that they’re in jeopardy of falling into the play-in tournament.

While the Cavs should be able to win this game, they may not be able to win by as much as the -8 margin, so they may not be able to cover in this one.
