Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pick ups

It most certainly was not an easy week to catch a dub for most fantasy teams. Week 8 features only two teams on bye (Ravens and Raiders) which should not pose as big of a problem as last week.

It is important to be honest with your audience and last week's picks were not so great if we're being honest. 2/4 players that I picked "boomed" last week! Ricky Seals-Jones and A.J. Green played solid games for players off the waiver wire. Latavius Murray got hurt, but the article was posted prior to his injury. We are not going to talk about Sam Darnold.

Here are this week's picks

Q.B.: Teddy Bridgewater (vs WSH) available in 78.8% of ESPN fantasy leagues

Streaming Q.B.s has not been very favorable to most. However, Teddy Two Gloves might surprise you. Bridgewater is playing on an explosive offense getting one of its best weapons back (Jerry Jeudy). His numbers have been stable mediocre, but this is a week where he can BOOM!

Playing Washington is the best possible matchup for the Broncos' offense. Washington is allowing the MOST points to opposing Q.B.s! With that offense in the Mile High City, there is no reason to pass up such a great potential steal.

R.B.: Kenneth Gainwell (@ DET) available in 73.7% of ESPN fantasy leagues

Miles Sanders is injured. That's it. That's the tweet. There really isn't much more to say. If you are looking for a high upside R.B., then here he is. Right in front of you. However, this pick does provide "high risk, high reward". This Gainwell pickup will either drop 20+ points or will completely bust.

Playing against Detroit may seem like an easy victory. They rank 3rd in most points given up to opposing R.B.s. However, the Eagles tend to not run the ball as much as fantasy owners like... If you need a spark to potentially win your week!

W.R.: Michael Gallup (vs MIN) available in 50.5% of ESPN fantasy leagues

Noah Brown and Cedrick Wilson are two very familiar names to Dallas Cowboys fans. Micahel Gallup is coming off I.R. this week (it is confirmed). He is one of the most underrated players on the Dallas Cowboys. He gets decent targets, but he is a scoring machine!

He is matched up against the Vikings, who are ranked 14th against opposing W.R.s. That should not scare you. Dak Prescott is so diverse with his targets that there is reason to believe he'll get you at least one touchdown!

T.E.: C.J Uzomah (@ NYJ) available in 89.9% of ESPN fantasy leagues

How? How is he available in so many leagues. He has been fantastic in his past few matchups; it kinda leaves you scratching your head. Is it because he's touchdown dependent? Well, Joe Burrow depends on him to get touchdowns, so he will get a score on Sunday!

The Jets have not been able to cover T.E.s this season. With CJ Mosely being out, there is nobody to guard the underrated Bengal star. This is a low-risk pickup because he has been playing so well and could be as good as any T.E. that is on a starting roster!

Players selected were only available in over 50% of ESPN leagues
