Game 5 between the Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks takes place Thursday evening, as the Warriors lead the series 3-1, which means they’re one win away from clinching an NBA Finals berth.

With the series shifting back to San Francisco, the Warriors are favored by a -7 spread to close out the series. Sign up for betJACK Training Camp to secure 100 FREE tokens to start betting on sports in Ohio now!

Warriors Game 5 Betting Outlook

The Warriors struggled in Game 4 after essentially owning the Mavs throughout the series, as Stephen Curry managed just 20 points on 7-of-16 shooting to go along with eight assists and five rebounds.

If Curry had put up those numbers in more of a supporting role, that may have been enough to get his team over the top.

Jonathan Kuminga came off the bench with 17 points and eight rebounds. Jordan Poole dropped 14 points. Andrew Wiggins and Klay Thompson had 13 and 12 points, respectively. Draymond Green stuffed the stat sheet with 10 points, six rebounds and six assists.

While the Warriors struggled to be the 3-point machine they usually are as a collective group, it would be unwise to think that they couldn’t turn it on at any given second.

Their collective trust in one another in addition to their willingness to move the ball around makes them a huge threat night in and night out.

A caveat for how they play basketball though is that if they can’t hit their threes, then it could be tough for them to get their offense going.

Mavericks Game 5 Betting Outlook

The Mavs finally came through with a win in this series, as they got great production from multiple guys.

Luka Doncic led the way with 30 points, 14 rebounds, nine assists, two steals and two blocks.

Dorian Finney-Smith provided 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting and six rebounds. Reggie Bullock chipped in with 18 points. Jalen Brunson added 15 points, five rebounds and five assists. Spencer Dinwiddie had 10 points and eight assists.

When the Mavs get all of their guys rolling, they are simply tough to beat. They have Doncic who can tear up just about any defense with his transcendent ability to score the basketball and be a facilitator for others.

They also have a bunch of shooters to help space the floor for Doncic when he chooses to attack the rim and draw multiple defenders.

Although the Mavs may not end up going to the Finals this season, if they’re able to add another legitimate star next to Doncic, this team could be a fixture in the later playoff rounds for years to come.

Western Conference Finals Game 5 Betting Pick: Warriors Win

The Mavs were able to avoid a sweep, which is very fortunate for them and their fanbase.

However, they just don’t have the firepower to match up with the Warriors quite yet, which has clearly made it difficult for them to be a serious threat to the Warriors

With all of that being said, expect the Warriors to wrap up this series in front of their home fans and cover the spread.
