Brooklyn Nets vs. Boston Celtics

The Spread: Nets (-1)

How the Brooklyn Nets are favored in this one is mind-boggling, to say the least.

Steve Nash has been outcoached by Ime Udoka, and the Nets have not been getting great performances out of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

Meanwhile, Jayson Tatum has been continuing his rise as an NBA superstar, with some already saying he is already considered a better player than KD.

The Boston Celtics’ defense unit of Al Horford, Marcus Smart, Tatum, and Jaylen Brown have done a lot to really be physical with Durant and take him out of his gameplan, which has caused Durant to think too much, he admitted.

Bruce Brown is the only player who has really showed up for the Nets this series on both ends of the floor, as he’s averaging 18.0 points on nearly 59 percent shooting in the first three games, taking full advantage of the openings provided to him with KD and Kyrie demanding most of the defensive attention.

The Nets could end up wanting to extend this series, so expect this to at least be a close game.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Toronto Raptors

The Spread: Sixers (-7.5)

The Toronto Raptors successfully avoided a sweep their last time out, as they got 34 points from Pascal Siakam and 24 from Gary Trent Jr.

Their defense also came up big, as they limited Joel Embiid to just 21 points on 7-16 shooting. Limiting Embiid to 16 shot attempts is also a big victory in itself.

James Harden did his thing by getting to the free-throw line and racking up the assists, but as is the case a lot of the time, he didn’t shoot a great percentage from the field.

Tyrese Maxey also failed to step up as he has all postseason long his last time out.

Having said all of this, the Philadelphia 76ers will be home, so there’s a great chance they’ll wrap up the series, but the Raptors won’t go down so easily, so the Sixers may not cover.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Utah Jazz

The Spread: Mavericks (-3)

Luka Doncic returned for Game 3 and looks like he hasn’t missed a beat, as he put up 30 points, ten rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Jalen Brunson also continued his breakout postseason, as he had 23 points. Brunson has been aggressive in getting to the free-throw line and getting to his spots.

Rudy Gay came off the bench to drop 25 points for the Utah Jazz to lead the team.

Donovan Mitchell had 23 points, including the game-winning shot down the stretch. Rudy Gobert put in 17 points and 15 rebounds.

With the series shifting back to Dallas and the Mavericks looking like the stronger team, expect them to take full advantage and go up 3-2 in the series while covering the spread.
