NBA Betting Guide: NBA Best Bets for January 18, 2022

A very quiet night in the NBA after the MLK day slate, only 4 teams are in action tonight, however, both these games are on national TV.

Minnesota Timberwolves @ New York Knicks (7:30 p.m., NBA TV)

Favored Team and Spread: MIN -3

Total Points: 213.5

Knicks will be at home to face off against Minnesota in the start of this NBA TV doubleheader. They will be without many including the newly acquired Cam Reddish (ankle), Derrick Rose (ankle), Kemba Walker (knee) and Nerlens Noel to name a few. Minnesota comes into the Garden mostly healthy, they will be without Jaylin Nowell (ankle). I think your best bet here is the over on total points and Minnesota to win and cover.

Detroit Pistons @ Golden State Warriors (10 p.m., NBA TV)

Favored Team and Spread: GSW -15.5

Total Points: 218.5

This is an easy game to pick. The Warriors have been playing well albeit without Draymond Green who is out indefinitely with a calf injury. They do have Klay Thompson back after he was sidelined for over two seasons with multiple injuries and he has been slowly working back into everything. He currently averages 13.8 points in his four appearances this season. The Pistons have been in the doldrums of the NBA this season so there's not much that you can say about this team other than they've disappointing. Taking Golden State to win, cover and go over on points is the play here but use some props to spice things up in this game.
