Joel Embiid (21 in blue) looks to pass out of a Cavaliers double team in a 2022 NBA game inside Wells Fargo Center.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are looking to avoid falling into the play-in tournament, as they’re coming off a huge win over the Los Angeles Clippers in overtime.

The Philadelphia 76ers, on the other hand, are looking to move into at least second place in the Eastern Conference, as they sit a game behind the second seed and 3.5 games behind the first.

We should be in for an exciting NBA game!

Betting Odds & Lines

The point spread of this game at Sixers -4. The over/under is currently set at 220.

Cavs Players to Watch Out For

Darius Garland has been on absolute fire recently, averaging 27.1 points and 10.9 assists per game over his last seven games. In the overtime win over the Clippers, he had 24 points and 13 assists.

Evan Mobley is coming off a great performance his last time out, as he put up 30 points, six rebounds, two blocks, and two steals. It will be important for Mobley to continue to step up, as the Cavs will be missing Jarrett Allen for the foreseeable future.

Isaac Okoro also stepped up and played an important role for the Cavs in their most recent win, as he finished with 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Lauri Markkanen chipped in with 17 points and nine rebounds.

Caris LeVert made his return to action on Monday and looked pretty sharp given his long layoff, as he finished with 11 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.

Kevin Love played a nice complementary role, putting in 13 points and nine rebounds. He’s always a threat to get hot, especially from 3-point range.

This season, Cleveland is 38-27-3 against the spread and 27-39-2 on over/unders. They are 21-11 as the home team.

Sixers Players to Watch Out For

Joel Embiid has been absolutely dominant recently, as he is averaging 34.8 points to go along with 12.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game in his last four games.

Embiid is always a threat to get hot in the paint with his ability to post opposing bigs up and create easy looks for himself by using his force and soft touch.

If you leave Embiid open or with enough space, he’s a threat to knock down a three as well, as he’s shooting 57.1 percent from downtown during this stretch.

During that same stretch, James Harden has averaged 19.3 points, 9.0 assists, and 7.3 rebounds per game. However, he’s shooting just 30.6 percent from the floor but is getting to the free throw line at a high rate.

This season, Philadelphia is 33-34-0 against the spread and 29-36-2 on over/unders. They are 22-11 as the away team.

Sixers Win

This will be a close game, but the Cavs will just have no answer for Joel Embiid inside, especially without Jarrett Allen.

Expect the Sixers to win this game and cover the spread, with Embiid putting up yet another impressive performance.
