Baltimore Orioles' Adley Rutschman hits a two-run single vs. Toronto Blue Jays

In terms of the sports world as a whole, we are really getting into the heart of it all. Both the NFL and NCAA Football are now in full swing, we're heading down the stretch in the MLB, and basketball is right around the corner.

As a die-hard Cleveland Guardians fan, this week in the MLB world is going to be a stressful one. Fighting for our chance at a division title in a year nobody had us making any noise is pretty special as it is.

While it will be interesting to see if they can get the job done, I'm ready to hit the cash counter Tuesday night. Let's roll.

Bet No. 1: Rays/Astros NRFI (-162)

Cristian Javier vs. Shane McClanahan kick our top bets of the day off as I'm riding a No Run First Inning Bet here into the sunset.

Both pitchers are very solid as they both have ERA's that sit below three. The Astros are a lock to make the playoffs and the Rays are also sitting pretty in the Wild Card Spot, but I still think both starters will stay hot and look to get ready to dominate for their respective teams come postseason time.

Bet No. 2: Orioles ML (-186)

In terms of suprisingly good teams in the MLB this season, the Baltimore Orioles have to be towards the top of the list.

Similar to the Guardians, the Orioles are also a very young team with an extremely low payroll and they did not think they would be where they are today.

The Orioles sit five games back in the Wild Card standings, so while they don't have much of a chance to sneak in, they aren't completely out of the picture just yet. For that reason and that reason alone, I like them to win outright tonight.

Bet No. 3: Twins ML (-112)

While the Twins are just about mathematically eliminated from playoff contention after being put to sleep by the Guardians, they are not completely out of it just yet.

They have Dylan Bundy on the mound for them tonight in Kansas City against a below-average Royals team.

They know the White Sox and Guardians play eachother and that they still have games left against the White Sox. That said, I think they get in done tonight in Kansas City.

Bet No. 4: Mariners ML (-223)

The pleasantly-surprising Seattle Mariners will travel to Oakland to take on the bottom-feeding Athletics on Tuesday night.

The Mariners currently hold the third and final American League Wild Card Spot as they sit five games ahead of the Orioles.

Seattle will have newly-acquired Luis Castillo on the mound for them tonight as they look to inch closer to officially locking down a playoff spot for the first time since 2001.

I'm confident they get the job done tonight against one of the worst teams in baseball.
