State of Ohio Has Fifth Best Odds To Win Super Bowl LVI

The State of Ohio has pretty enticing odds to walk away with Super Bowl LVI this February.

A state with just two teams, the Browns and Bengals, professional football has certainly rebounded in the Buckeye state. Only four states, Florida, California, New York and, Maryland, have better odds than Ohio.

Ohio is currently +1400 to win the 2021-22 NFL Championship.

Certainly, nationwide optimism surrounding the Cleveland Browns is likely to be the reason why Ohio currently has the fifth-best odds to win the championship.

Florida, California, and New York are all states with three pro teams. Maryland only has two teams, the Football Team and Ravens, but Baltimore remains the favorite to win the AFC North (+120).

The Favorite: Florida (+450)

Florida is the betting favorite for one reason— Tom Brady's Buccaneers.

The Dolphins and Jaguars are both young, promising teams on the rise, but teams such as the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens all stand in their way.

If you're buying into Tampa Bay to repeat as Super Bowl champs, this is the bet for you.

The Runner Up: California (+500)

Despite the Super Bowl being played in Los Angeles's SoFi Stadium this winter, I am personally fading Cali to walk away with a Super Bowl.

Tampa Bay is the cleat-cut favorite to win the NFC.

While the Rams certainly improved, they play in one of the NFL's toughest divisions. The 49ers got better too, but I'm not banking on Jimmy G or rookie Trey Lance to walk away with a ring. I really like the Chargers with Herbert, but a potential sophomore slump looms large in a challenging division.

New York (+900) & Maryland (+1050)

The only reason why you'd bet on New York is if you believed in Josh Allen's Buffalo Bills. Period. The Jets and Giants have no shot.

Similarly, the only reason why you'd bet on Maryland is if you believed in Lamar Jackson's Ravens. Washington Football Team improved, but so did their division with the Cowboys regaining health.

Ohio (+1400)

Similarly to Ohio and Maryland, you're really only taking Ohio at these odds if you believe in the Cleveland Browns.

The Browns have the seventh best odds (+1600) at winning the Super Bowl, behind Kansas City, Tampa Bay, Buffalo, Green Bay, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

If you were going to make one of these bets, I'd rather bet on the Browns to win the Super Bowl (+1600) than the state of Ohio to win the Super Bowl (+1400) as the Cincinnati Bengals really don't have much of a chance.
