New York Yankees' Aaron Judge takes a walk against the Los Angeles Angels

If it weren't for Pittsburgh winning the Backyard Brawl last night against West Virginia, I would've struck out on bets for yesterday. They won, however, giving some motivation to have a solid Friday night with the picks.

There is one Top 25 college football game tonight, as Western Michigan heads to East Lansing to face No. 17 Michigan State to kickoff their seasons.

Michigan State scores the football, no doubt about it. Even now being without running back Kenneth Walker III, they have a solid running back room and an offense that is again still bound to put up points.

As for Western Michigan, they head into the season with both a new offensive coordinator and a new quarterback. Despite having a fresh start with a new system for Western Michigan, I still think they contribute enough to the point total for this game to go over.

Bet No. 1: Michigan State/Western Michigan Over 54.5 points (-110)

Heading over to the MLB, unlike yesterday, we have a full slate of games, as all 30 teams will be in action tonight.

The Dodgers and the Guardians sold my moneyline picks last night, as both teams lost not only their contest yesterday, but also their respective series. Friday is a new day, however, and that typicaly means the start of a new weekend series for most teams in the league.

The Blue Jays head to Pittsburgh to take on the Pirates in the first game of Friday's slate. Alek Manoah will take the mound for the Blue Jays, with the Pirates sending out Johan Oviedo. The Blue Jays are not only the better team, but also have the better arm in this one. I'll take the Blue Jays ML as a lock for tonight.

Bet No. 2: Blue Jays ML (-244)

The New York Yankees; one of the most talented teams in the entire league, all while also being one of the MLB's coldest teams for some time now. Coming off of losing a series to the Angels, they are due to pick back up where they left off before the all-star break at some point.

The Yankees head to Florida to start a series with the Rays, as the Rays are currently sitting on a six-game home winning streak. Depsite this current streak, I still think the Yankees start to get back on track tonight and take game one of the series.

Bet No. 3: Yankees ML (+112)

There is another team in New York that plays baseball in the Mets. One of the MLB's best teams in terms of overall record as they are currently third in league-wide standings, they sit at 84-48

The Mets continue their home stand tonight as they host the Washington Nationals, the complete opposite from the Mets, as they sit dead last in league-wide standings. The pitching matchup here does not feature either teams ace, so I see a lot of runs being scored tonight.

I like the Mets as a moneyline lock tonight, but I also like the over 7.5 runs. Give me both, and let's cash them in.

Bet No. 4: Mets ML (-286) And Over 7.5 total runs (-110)
