As the National Basketball Association heads to its final weeks of the season, much talk has centered around who is the Most Valuable Player for the 2020-2021 season. While it’s been a wild season, and one we will always remember - it’s been an entertaining and eventful season as well. Players are stepping up and getting the job done. The postseason is sure to be fantastic in the NBA this summer. Let’s take a look at the most recent NBA MVP Betting Odds and who is in line to take the award.

Nikola Jokic -1000

It’s kind of crazy that Jokic has such odds to win this event while not leading a single category. But, his overall body of work has been outstanding. Even playing with an injured toe, Jokie scored 32 in the loss on Monday to the Lakers. The 6’11 big man is scoring 26.3 points per game, ripping down 10.9 rebounds and dishing out nearly 9 assists per game. Jokic has played in all 65 games this season and recorded double/double in 55 of them. Denver is locked into a Top 4 seed in the Western Conference, even missing Jamal Murray.

Joel Embiid +450

The former Kansas big man has played in 46 games this season. That alone is likely going to hurt his chances, but when he plays, he has been outstanding. Embiid is scoring 29 points per game, grabbing 10.8 rebounds, and dishing out 3 assists per game. Embiid is making nearly 86% of his free throws and has a 51% field goal percentage. Embiid has led his Philadelphia team to the top record in the Eastern Conference.

Giannis Antetokounmpo +2000

The Greek Freak is still a freak of nature on the court. Antetokounmpo is scoring more than 28 points per game, and ripping down more than 11 rebounds per game. He has also recorded 38 double/doubles and 7 triple/doubles. The Bucks are not the regular season powerhouse they were a season ago, but this team is going to be a force to reckon with in the postseason.

Steph Curry +2000

The NBA’s leading scorer is getting over 31 per game. His team has struggled with injuries, but will still likely make the postseason, albeit a play-in game. There is no doubt that on this list, Curry is the guy you want to take a late shot. What the Warriors are most pleased with is his ability this season. Curry has played in 58 of the team’s 66 games.

Others in Consideration:

Julius Randle +15000

What a season Randle is having. Just an incredible turnaround for him and his Knicks squad. New York is making the postseason and may even have a first-round home-court advantage. Much of this has to do with the 27.2 points per game and 10.3 rebounds from Randle. The biggest number - Randle has played in 64 of 65 games this season.

Devin Booker +25000

Booker is outstanding, with 25.7 points per game. The Suns have turned things around and are a contender in the Western Conference. He will get consideration as the leader of one of the best teams in the league.

Donovan Mitchell +25000

The same tune rings true here for Mitchell. The Utah Jazz are another great story. Mitchell and Rudy Gobert are terrific together and could be the difference makers to finally bring an NBA title to Salt Lake City.

Enjoy the final weeks of the season, and if you have a bet you want to make on the 2021 NBA MVP, be sure to get it in now!
