Today in the MLB: June 26, 2025 best Bets, Odds, Lines, and More
Athletics (+132) @ Detroit Tigers (-164):
Spread: Tigers -1.5 Over/Under: 9.0
Pitching Matchup: Springs (4.24 ERA) VS Enns (0.00 ERA)
Story: The Detroit Tigers are the hottest team in the AL right now, boasting the best record in the League and leading their division by 9.5 games. However, they have hit a rough stretch, going 4-6 in their last 10 and 10-10 in their last 20. The A’s have had a rough stretch, going 5-5 in their last 10 and having a (-134) run differential. Look for the A’s to take advantage of this spotty Tigers offense.
Toronto Blue Jays (-108) @ Cleveland Guardians (-117):
Spread: Guardians -1.5 Over/Under: 8.0
Pitching Matchup: Gausman (4.60 ERA) VS Bibee (3.86 ERA)
Story: Bibee is arguably the Guardians' best pitcher; he has got a lot of potential, as well as the rest of the team. But with the offense struggling (and the front office refusing to call up their young star Chase DeLauter) and the bullpen posting a 3.81, Voght must hope his offense wakes up if they want to win this game.
Seattle Mariners (+102) @ Minnesota Twins (129):
Spread: Twins -1.5 Over/Under: 8.5
Pitching Matchup: Hancock (5.43 ERA) VS Woods Richardson (5.06 ERA)
Story: The Twins take on the Seattle Mariners, who are coming off a good stretch of 7-3 baseball during their last 10 games. With the Twins struggling to regain their offensive momentum from earlier this season, falling a brutal 11.5 games back of first place in the ALC, and going 2-8 in their last 10. They have their work cut out for them as the Mariners are just 4.5 games back in the AL West.
Tampa Bay Rays (-136) @ Kansas City Royals (+108):
Spread: Tampa Bay Rays -1.5 Over/Under: 10.0
Pitching Matchup: Baz (4.79 ERA) VS Lorenzen (4.81 ERA)
Story: Both pitchers have struggled this season to keep runs off the board, but the Rays have something to fight for in this one. With only 1 game separating them from first place in the AL East, look for them to turn to the bullpen early if things get out of hand quickly. Both teams need to score and score quickly if they plan on walking away with a win. Just a matter of who wants it more, and this one goes to the Rays.
Philadelphia Phillies (+123) @ Houston Astros (-152):
Spread: Houston Astros -1.5 Over/Under: 7.0
Pitching Matchup: Sánchez, C. (2.87 ERA) VS Brown, H. (1.88 ERA)
Story: Both teams lead their divisions right now, and with both pitchers having a solid year, this is anyone’s game. But the Phillies' offense has been consistently inconsistent, and with Hunter Brown having a career year, it is hard to see Philly taking this one from the Astros so long as Brown keeps dealing.
Chicago Cubs (-150) @ Saint Louis Cardinals (+120):
Spread: Chicago Cubs -1.5 Over/Under: 9.0
Pitching Matchup: Imanaga (2.82 ERA) VS Pallante (4.48 ERA)
Story: This is the big game of the weekend. The Cards have had a good year so far, with the offense producing and the pitchers holding a solid 3.94 ERA in the season. But the key to this game is the stakes. The Cubs hold a 3.5 game lead over the Cardinals, and while Imanaga has been sturdy, he’s had a 3.10 ERA in his last 10 games. If Pallante can find the strike zone early, the Cards have a good chance of sending the Cubs home with a (series) loss.
Los Angeles Dodgers (-334) @ Colorado Rockies (+245):
Spread: Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5 Over/Under: 11.5
Pitching Matchup: Kershaw (3.31 ERA) VS Gomber (8.38 ERA)
Story: What is better than one of the best teams in baseball facing off against one of the worst? Anything is possible. This Rockies team has the potential to put up 10-plus runs a game… the only problem is their pitching staff. With them giving up 422 runs this season and a quarter of them being HRs, everything says the Dodgers walk away with this easily, but in Coors Field, anything is possible.
Miami Marlins (+148) @ San Francisco Giants (-186):
Spread: San Francisco Giants -1.5 Over/Under: 7.5
Pitching Matchup: Junk (2.60 ERA) VS Birdsong (3.25 ERA)
Story: The Marlins have hit a hot streak, going 6-4 in their last 10, while the Giants have done the exact opposite. Either team could walk away with this one, but if Junk can find the zone and find it early, it could spell trouble for the Giants.
Atlanta Braves (-109) @ New York Mets (-114):
Spread: New York Mets -1.5 Over/Under: 8.5
Pitching Matchup: Holmes, G. (3.71 ERA) VS Canning (3.91 ERA)
Story: The Mets will be the Mets, which means they can’t beat the Braves. Atlanta holds a 5-3 record against the Metros this season, which doesn’t bode well for a team that had one of the hottest starts of the season. With a 30-18 scoring difference and the Mets unable to bring runners in, unless Holmes gets hit early, Atlanta will walk away with a postseason boost against a division rival struggling to find their footing.
