Commanders' Jacoby Brissett speaks with coaches and teammates during practice

Ohio, we have more football tonight.

To make things even better, we will get to see Deshaun Watson and compay for a least one series on offense, not knowing how long they will actually stay in the game.

After defeating the New York Jets in the Hall of Fame Game just over a week ago, the Browns come back home to Cleveland Browns stadium for what will be their one and only home preseason game, this one against the Commanders.

Let's take a look at a few of my favorite bets for the evening.

Bet #1: Commanders Moneyline

A lot of people probably won't agree with this one, and there is nothing I can do.

Rookie Dorain Thompson-Robinson was electric in his NFL debut against the Jets, essentially carrying the Browns to a come from behind victory. I expect to see another healthy dose of him tonight, but as we know in the preseason, nothing is ever set in stone.

A lot of people tend to think that NFL Preseason betting comes down to the quarterback room and which quarterbacks will see the most run, and I tend to agree with that take, given that it is a quarterbacks league.

For the Commanders, it will be Sam Howell and Jacoby Brissett leading the way.

Howell is set to be the starting QB for the Commanders this season, with veteran Jacoby Brissett as the backup.

Given that it looks like Watson is only going to see the field for a posession or two, the Commanders have to have the edge in the quarterback room tonight, right?

Bet #2: Total Points Over 38.5

Given that I am on the Commanders in this game, I am assuming we will see the most points come from their side of the scoreboard.

While we don't know how Howell will fare in this one, he is their starter, so I expect him to look halfway decent.

Coupling that with Brissett coming in to shred some Browns backups on defense, I see the Commanders scoring 20+ tonight.

If Watson enters and has one or two efficient scoring drives, you will get points there. Lastly, if DTR looks as electric as he did last week for the Browns, you should get points from him, so take the over.
