On Monday night, Week 6 of the NFL season concludes with a matchup between AFC West teams. The Denver Broncos bring their struggling offense to SoFi Stadium to take on the Los Angeles Chargers, who come into this contest looking for a third straight victory.

The Chargers enter this matchup as four-point favorites at home, but will need to overcome a stout Denver defense to extend their winning streak.

Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos come into this contest having lost two straight games, falling to the Las Vegas Raiders and Indianapolis Colts.

Their offense has been their achilles heel during the 2022 NFL season, as the Broncos enter Monday night with the worst-scoring offense in the NFL at 15 points per game. In this contest, the health of their quarterback will be the big question for them as they look to end their recent slide.

Russell Wilson is dealing with a partially torn lat in his shoulder, but has said that he is going to tough it out for this contest with the Chargers. After failing to lead his team to a single touchdown against the Colts last week, the question is whether or not Wilson should play through any sort of injury right now.

He threw multiple red zone interceptions last week, and missed a wide-open man on the final play of the game, which he will need to rebound from here.

Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers have won two straight games coming into this Monday Night Football matchup. They beat the Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans consecutively to improve to 3-2 on the season.

While they do not own the tiebreaker against the first-place Kansas City Chiefs, a win in this contest will put the Chargers on level ground with the Chiefs in terms of record at 4-2.

For the Chargers, continuing to be multi-dimensional offensively will be a huge factor in this contest. Austin Ekeler has had a couple of good games after a slow start to the season for the Chargers.

His ability to impact the game both on the ground and by catching passes is something that the Chargers need to continue to see here.

Keys To The Game

For the Broncos, the biggest key to this game is going to be their defense, as their offense has not shown very much ability to carry them.

Denver has the number three scoring defense in the NFL coming into this game, allowing just 16 points per game. However, in order to have a chance to win this game, they will need to slow down Justin Herbert and the potent Chargers passing attack, which is no easy task.

On the Chargers side, putting pressure on Russell Wilson will be a huge key to this AFC West matchup. Wilson has really struggled this season, but with time to throw he could turn things around.

If the Chargers eliminate any time for him to throw the football, they could easily shut down the Broncos offense en route to a victory.
