Jacksonville Jaguars vs. New York Jets Thursday Night Football Betting Preview
With both teams fighting for their playoff lives, the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New York Jets will meet on Thursday Night Football for a big-time matchup.
The Jets will be coming off a heartbreaking loss to the red-hot Detroit Lions at home, a game they were leading late into the fourth quarter.
The Jaguars, however, will be a whole different story. They are coming into this matchup red-hot themselves, beating the Dallas Cowboys in wild fashion in overtime. The Jaguars have also won four of their last six matchups.
Jaguars Best Bets
Let's start with the simple bets; the moneyline and the spread.
I know it seems like the Jaguars are due for a loss while the Jets are due for a win, but I am not a believer in that tonight.
Trevor Lawrence has been on fire in his last four games, throwing for 11 touchdowns compared to just one interception.
The defense in Jacksonville has been making plays, as they have intercepted the football three times in their last two games.
If they have done so against Dak Prescott and Jared Goff, I expect them to get at least one turnover off of Zach Wilson.
In this game, I'm going Jaguars moneyline (+104) and Jaguars +2 (-110).
Jets Best Bets
The Jets, on the other hand, are reeling.

Quarterback Zach Wilson is most likely playing for his job tonight, as Mike White is knocking on the door of his return after being promoted for the benched Wilson and doing positive things for this Jets team.
The Jets have now lost three in a row to the Lions, Bills, and Vikings.
I'm taking Zach Wilson under 197.5 passing yards (-113) tonight. The cold, windy elements won't help the young quarterback tonight. Again, not to mention, he just isn't a good quarterback overall.
Another bet I'm in love with tonight is Trevor Lawrence as the quarterback to throw more touchdowns (-182).
Lawrence has been looking like the quarterback the Jaguars have been wanting to see for a while now, and the Jaguars find most of their success through the air.
While I do think the Jaguars win, I think the Jets can win if they run the ball down the throat of the Jaguars and don't have to do too much with Wilson. Once Wilson has to go win a game or be the hero, things don't tend to go well for the Jets.
I don't expect this game to be a blowout by any means, as both teams fighting for their playoff rights will make this game feel like an actual playoff game.
When it comes to Ohioans, all of Cincinnati will be cheering on the Jacksonville Jaguars tonight, because with a Jaguars win, the Bengals will officially clinch a spot and be on their way to another playoff berth.
