The Golden State Warriors (22-23) and Cleveland Cavaliers (28-18) reignite their rivalry tonight at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in a matchup of two teams trending in opposite directions. Golden State is ninth in the Western Conference, while the Cavaliers are fifth in the East.

The two teams have played eight regular season games since they concluded their fourth consecutive NBA Finals in 2018, and the Warriors have won each of those games, including a 106-101 victory on November 11 earlier this season. Overall, Golden State has won 11 regular season games in a row over the Cavs, dating back to Christmas Day, 2016. Tonight is a statement game for the revamped Cavaliers.

The Warriors will be resting Stephen Curry, Klay Thomposn, Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala, Andrew Wiggins, and James Wiseman tonight against the Cavs.

Golden State Warriors Betting Preview

Although they've been dominant over the Cavaliers in recent years and are the defending champions, it hasn't been an easy season for Golden State, from dealing with the fallout from the Draymond Green and Jordan Poole altercation at practice and injuries to Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Andrew Wiggins. Golden State comes to Cleveland with an almost completely healthy lineup, however.

The Warriors are 5-5 in their last 10 games and are coming off of a 121-118 overtime loss to the Boston Celtics on Thursday in a rematch of last year's NBA Finals. It was a spirited and emotional game for both teams, so the Warriors may be a little fatigued tonight. Curry, in just his fifth game back from a one-month absence, played a season-high 43 minutes. Each of their starters played at least 35 minutes.

Golden State is fourth in points per game at 117.6, but hasn't been as efficient on defense as they have in the past. The team has the 14th-best defensive rating (114.8) in the league. They also turn the ball over 16.1 times per game, which is the worst in the league.

Cleveland Cavaliers Betting Preview

If there's ever a time for the Cavaliers to end their regular season losing streak to the Warriors, it's tonight. Cleveland has its best team since LeBron James left for Los Angeles. The core of Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, and Evan Mobley has been playing great this season, with Mitchell among the top 10 scorers in the league.

Cleveland is 6-4 in its last 10 games and is coming off of a 115-114 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. Although they're just 3-3 in their last six games, their combined margin of defeat in those three games was just 11 points. Expect another tight game tonight from a relatively rested Cleveland team and a tired Warriors team.

Warriors vs. Cavaliers Odds and Prediction

In a somewhat unusual sight, the Cavaliers are massive -625 moneyline favorites tonight and listed at -110 to cover the -12 spread. Golden State is paying out +460 on the moneyline and -110 on the +12 spread. The over/under for tonight's game is 219.5.

Streaks have to end and tonight feels like as good a night as many for the Cavaliers to get their first regular-season win over the Warriors since 2016. With the Warriors resting basically their entire team, the Cavs should have no issues getting a win.
