The Dayton Flyers will look to improve upon their perfect Atlantic 10 record on Tuesday evening when they take on the Fordham Rams. The Flyers have won six consecutive games and eight of their last nine to bring their record to 11-5 on the season, including a 3-0 record in league play.

The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m tip-off from Rose Hill Gym in New York City. The Flyers are a road favorite for the game, laying (-6.5) after the spread opened at seven. The total is currently set at 129 points after opening at 128.5.

Fordham enters the game as one of the most surprising mid-major teams of the season at 13-3 overall. The Rams have struggled a bit in league play, however, losing two of their first three Atlantic 10 games. The Rams fell to Davidson and Rhode Island to open league play but were able to defeat the St. Joseph’s Hawks over the weekend by a final score of 66-54.

Keith Urgo’s Rams are led by fifth-year senior Darius Quisenberry, who is averaging nearly 18 points per game. The former two-time All-Horizon League selection is in his second year with the Rams and is having a career year in points, shooting from deep as well as from the stripe.

Former Georgia Tech role player Khalid Moore is the Ram’s second-leading scorer on the season as a graduate transfer. The 6 '7 forward has nearly tripled his career scoring output of 5.5 points per game this season, putting over 14 points on the scoreboard every night.

Moore is second on the team in rebounding at 6.4 per game. In addition to his offensive uptick, Moore is also one of the best defensive players in the league, ranking within the top ten in steals, defensive win shares, and defensive rating.

The Flyers were able to weather the injury storm suffered earlier in the season and are now looking like the team that was expected in the preseason.

Despite being without guards Malachi Smith and Kobe Elvis since Thanksgiving, Dayton has been able to right the ship behind A-10 player of the year candidate DaRon Holmes. The 6 '10 forward has been a dominant force over his last ten games, averaging 22.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, along with two blocks per contest.

Coach Anthony Grant has also benefited from the development of third-year forward Mustapha Amzil. The 6 '10 forward is averaging nearly 11 points per game over his last six contests, as well as 5.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. In 16 games this season, he has scored just 26 fewer points than in 35 games a season ago.

So far this season, the entire Atlantic 10 has been fairly mediocre against the spread, and these two teams are no exception. The Rams are one of the best in the league, though they are just 9-7 ATS, while Dayton is right on their heels at 8-8. The Flyers have cranked up their defensive efforts during their current streak, however, going under the projected total in six of their last seven games.
