2022 March Madness National Championship Best Bets

The college basketball national championship game is set for Monday night and it will be a pair of blue blood programs meeting up for the title. The North Carolina Tar Heels got to the title game as a number eight seed knocking off arch rival Duke. They face a top-seeded Kansas Jayhawks team who soundly beat Villanova in their matchup.

Kansas is a four-point betting favorite over North Carolina in this game, and the Jayhawks have had little trouble throughout the NCAA Tournament. North Carolina has been great at pulling off upsets though, and that might have you concerned about betting against the spread.

Since this is one of the biggest sporting events of the year, you will find plenty of betting options for this one. Here are three of the best bets to make on Monday night.

Player to Score Most Points

If you are looking for a prop bet that provides plenty of options, but can also lead to a big payout then this is it. Placing a bet on which player will score the most points will come with some valuable odds, and it’s not an impossible bet to win.

Ochai Agbaji is the betting favorite for this bet at +310, and that makes sense as he is an All-American candidate. Kansas does a great job of sharing the wealth though, and one player usually doesn’t dominate.

Caleb Love and Brady Manek have been on a tear for North Carolina, and those are the players to focus on with this bet. Love poured in 28 points in the semifinal win, and he has the ball in his hands a ton.

Betting on Caleb Love at +380 is a smart way to go with this wager.

Kansas: Half-Time, Full-Time Winner

Betting against the spread might not be a wise decision in this one, but there is still a way to bet on the winner. Kansas is clearly the better overall team in this game, but that doesn’t mean they will cut down the nets.

If you do think that Kansas is going to win then this is a wager that you simply have to make. Kansas has been getting off to huge starts so far in the NCAA Tournament and North Carolina has been a team that has played better late in games.

Taking Kansas half-time, full-time can lead to a nice payout and you don’t even have to worry about betting the spread.

Agbaji 2+ Made Threes

There is a long list of player props available for the national championship game, and some will provide more value than others. When you are going to make a prop bet, you don’t necessarily want to go for a long shot, but you simply want to make a wager that will hit.

The over/under for three-point field goals for Ochai Agbaji is set at just 1.5 and that feels like the number is way too low. Agbaji just had six made shots from deep in the win over Villanova, and it only took him seven shots to hit that mark.

This isn’t a bet that will make you rich, but betting on Agbaji over 1.5 threes is the way to go.
