Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow walks to huddle during game vs. Dallas Cowboys

The Cincinnati Bengals will travel to New York to take on the Jets at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. This will be each teams’ third game of the season, and both teams are needing a win to stay in their respective divisional races.

The Bengals are 0-2 after two grueling losses in games they were expected to win on both occasions. In Week 1, Joe Burrow threw four interceptions and lost a fumble before losing to the Steelers in overtime, 23-20.

The Bengals were looking to avenge that Week 1 loss with a win against the Dak-less Dallas Cowboys but couldn’t get anything going and fell 20-17.

The Jets were demolished by the Baltimore Ravens in their first game by a score of 24-9. The Jets were able to win in game two after Joe Flacco led the Jets to 17 fourth-quarter points. Flacco had four touchdowns on 307 yards in that game.

Let’s look ahead at the Jets’ third consecutive matchup against an AFC North team in the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.

Odds

The Bengals are five-point favorites in Sunday’s matchup against the Jets with odds of (-112) to cover that spread. New York has odds of (-109) at +5. For the moneyline, the Bengals and Jets have odds of (-228) and (+180), respectively.

The over/under for total points scored in the game is set at 45 with odds of (-112) and (-109) to bet the over and under, respectively.

Keys To The Game

Every Bengals’ fan knows that Joe Burrow is the key to the success in this game against the Jets and the whole season, for that matter. Burrow has struggled in his first two games, and the stats tell the story.

He has one more interception than touchdowns this season with a total of 537 yards and a QB rating of 73.1, which is the lowest in his career.

If Burrow is able to figure out his issues, the Bengals offense will be great. They have three key weapons in the passing game in Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd. Additionally, Joe Mixon is a solid running back to carry the load on the ground.

On the other side, it should not be a big surprise that Joe Flacco is the key to victory for the Jets. He was the main reason that they got their first win of the season on the road and will need him to be flawless again at home against a tough Bengals team.

Even though the Bengals are 0-2, they will be hungry for a win, and Flacco is the only one who can shut down their defense.

Expected Outcome

The Bengals have been bad this season, and no one will argue with that. Their game outcomes don’t make sense, but here they are at 0-2.

I am rocking with the Bengals with the spread in the matchup against the Jets because there is no way that Joe Burrow will let the Bengals lose a third game in a row that they are favored in.
