St. Louis Cardinals' starting pitcher Jordan Montgomery throws a pitch against the New York Yankees

If it weren't for the wagon of the day not showing up to play yesteday, Puskar's Picks would have hit every bet. Instead, the Astros put up a disappointing performace and lost to the Rangers 4-3.

The day was still won, however, as we managed to go three-for-four and wake up with slips that cashed. Let's make Wednesday a great one and make some more winning slips.

My first pick of the day comes from a re-scheduled game that was supposed to be played yesterday; the Twins vs. Yankess. Yesterday's contest was rained out, making for a doubleheader to take place starting this afternoon.

The Yankees are pitching Domingo German, who is 2-3 with an ERA that is just above three. The eye-opener in this game is that the Twins are starting rookie Louie Varland who will be making his major league debut in a game against the Yankees, in New York, to start a doubleheader. To me, this has the over written all over it.

Bet No. 1: Twins/Yankees Game 1 Over 7.5 Runs (-112)

While they may have been expected to win the division this season, the White Sox have been underperfoming all season long, despite being hammered with injuries.

The Mariners won last night against the White Sox by a score of 3-0, as Mariners' pitcher Logan Gilbert tied his career high with nine strikeouts.

Tonight, I see a similar outcome in the forecast, as the Mariners already have the edge in the pitching matchup as Luis Castillo will face Michael Kopech. I'll take the Mariners on the moneyline.

Bet No. 2: Mariners ML (-200)

Pick number three comes from the first inning of the seies finale between the Guardians and the Royals.

The Guardians will be looking to sweep the Royals and continue to take advantage of their "easy" week before three huge matchups with the Twins.

However, with two starters currently on the injured list, they will be forced to start Cody Morris again, who's coming off of a rushed major league debut where the Mariners got out to an early lead and didn't look back.

On the other side, the Royals are sending out veteran Zach Greinke, who is 4-8 this season with an ERA above four. I don't care who does it or which team does it, but I see not only a lot of runs being scored in this game, but early runs scored as well.

Bet No. 3: Guardians/Royals Over 0.5 First Inning Runs (-113)

The last pick of the day comes from the bottom-feeder Nationals traveling to St. Louis to face the Cardinals.

The Cardinals are a wagon, and wagons as of late have not helped the picks out, given that the last two confident picks have failed to come through.

I don't see the wagon failing us today, however. The Cardinals are starting former Yankee' Jordan Montgomery tonight, as he will be facing Cory Abbott of the Nationals. Give me the Cardinals on the moneyline here, and let the wagon take us home for once.

Bet No. 4: Cardinals ML (-313)
