betJACK Best Bets: NFL Week 8
Week 8 of the NFL season is going to feature a major game in the state of Ohio that will be featured on Monday Night Football. There is also a pretty good slate of games set to take place on Sunday, and there are some great betting opportunities to look at.
With that in mind, here are four of the best NFL Week 8 football bets to make.
Chicago Bears +9.5 vs. Dallas Cowboys
The first game to look at takes place in Dallas as the 5-2 Cowboys host the 3-4 Chicago Bears. Chicago just blew out the Patriots on MNF, and they are coming into this game with a ton of momentum.
Dallas has a terrific offensive team, but they are facing a Bears team that can get stops in the red zone and is great at forcing turnovers. Chicago quarterback Justin Fields continues to improve, and he will make enough plays with his legs to keep this game close.
Take the 9.5 points in this matchup.
Tennessee Titans -2 vs. Houston Texans
The 4-2 Titans are on the road to face the 1-4-1 Texans in an AFC South showdown on Sunday afternoon. Tennessee has rattled off four straight wins to take control of the division, while the Texans just continue to play teams close but can’t find a win.
The biggest difference in this game will be Derrick Henry for the Titans, as he has racked up 536 yards and five touchdowns this season. Houston has been getting pretty strong play from the defense, but they are struggling to score points.
This game will be tighter than the records suggest, but the Titans are winning this game by at least three points on the road.
Washington Commanders vs. Indianapolis Colts -3
The 3-4 Commanders are on the road to face the 3-3-1 Colts, and this game could end up being one of the best of the day. Washington has won two straight games, including a pretty impressive upset over the Green Bay Packers.
Things haven’t been going well in Indianapolis, and the Colts are making a change at quarterback. Sam Ehlinger is going to get the start, but this team is still going to try to establish the run all game.
Playing in Indianapolis is going to be the deciding factor in this one, as the Colts will pick up a big win to cover the spread.
Cincinnati Bengals -3 vs. Cleveland Browns
All eyes will be on Cleveland on Monday night as the Browns host the Bengals in a huge AFC North showdown. There is plenty of bad blood in this rivalry, and that’s why you see a small spread despite a pretty clear gap in talent.
The Bengals got off to a slow start this season, but it appears that they have really started to figure some things out. Cleveland has turned into a mess on both sides of the ball, and playing this game at home isn’t going to be enough to let them win this game.
Joe Burrow and the Bengals will have a big day on offense as they pick up a big win on the road at Cleveland by double-digits.
