Miami Ohio RedHawks +22

A pair of 1-1 teams meet up on Saturday morning when the Miami Ohio RedHawks host the Cincinnati Bearcats. Cincinnati is scoring 43.5 points per game this season, and they take on a Miami team that has been solid on defense. 

The Bearcats suffered a week one loss on the road at Arkansas, but then bounced back in week two. Miami Ohio had a similar path to get to 1-1, and they are now trying to pick up a big win at home. 

The RedHawks are not good enough to win this game, but don’t expect them to get blown out either. Pride will be on the line for Miami Ohio, and they will keep this final score within three touchdowns. 

BYU Cougars +3.5

There are a couple of top 25 matchups in week three, but the game of the day will take place in Oregon. The Ducks are hosting the 2-0 BYU Cougars, and a win from Oregon would likely flip these teams in the next top 25 poll. 

This BYU team has now won one game where they were great on offense and another by being dominant on defense. BYU will need to run the ball effectively to stay with the Ducks at Oregon.

It’s hard to figure out this Oregon team through two weeks because they have had two very different results. The Ducks should be able to score points in this game, but the defense must show up as well.

Taking the 3.5 points is the way to go in this one as it will likely be a matchup that is tight throughout. 

Ohio State Buckeyes -32

Another matchup of two teams from Ohio will take place in Columbus as the Ohio State Buckeyes are huge favorites over Toledo. This is a chance for the Rockets to prove their worth against one of the best teams in the country. 

Ohio State might be 2-0 on the year, but they haven’t exactly played up to their potential through two weeks of the season. The Buckeyes are starting to get healthy again, though, and that will make them tough to defend.

Toledo has been a dominant defensive team through two weeks, but they haven’t played any real competition. The Rockets are at a huge disadvantage in this one, and it’s hard to see them finding a way to keep this game close.
