Celtics forward Jayson Tatum stands on the foul line before shooting a free throw against the Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors will be facing off against the Boston Celtics, as both teams have overcome their fair share of struggles to get to this point.

The Warriors aren’t too far from their last Finals appearance, as they got there in 2019. However, it’s been over a decade since the Celtics got there, as they last went in 2010.

Let’s take a closer look at this upcoming series. Here are some of the best 2022 NBA Finals Bets to place right now.

Warriors Favored With -150 Moneyline

It should be no surprise that the Warriors are favored this heavily, as they have a core group of guys that have won three championships together.

Stephen Curry broke out to become the best 3-pointer shooter of all time, and Klay Thompson also blossomed into one of the best shooters in NBA history in his own right. Thompson has also taken the responsibility of guarding the opposing team’s best guard.

Draymond Green has been the jack of all trades for this group, with his ability to defend multiple positions, set hard screens for Curry and Thompson to get open, and be the primary playmaker in an offense with shooters galore.

The buy in culture from everybody top to bottom in the Warriors organization also speaks volumes to how they’re run.

Celtics Enter with +130 Moneyline

The Celtics, however, are a great team in their own right, as Jayson Tatum has broken out to be a household superstar in this league.

The way Tatum can create his own offense sets the tone for Boston's offense, which opens up opportunities for Jaylen Brown and other guys to do their own damage.

The defense is what’s been carrying the Celtics, however, as Marcus Smart has taken it upon himself to guard the opposing team’s best player and force turnovers. Al Horford has also been instrumental with protecting the paint, as he’s using his frame to negate easy layup opportunities.

This is the first Finals for everybody on the Celtics, so nerves could potentially be high. However, Tatum is the type of player who doesn’t get too fazed by the moment, so regardless of how this series turns out, don’t expect him to be the fault for any potential downfall.

2022 NBA Finals Betting Pick

The Celtics have been a great story all season long. A team once appeared headed to the lottery ended up getting to the NBA Finals in one of the hardest paths possible.

They took down the Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee Bucks, and Miami Heat, all juggernaut teams in their own right.

However, the Warriors will likely be too experienced and good for this young Celtics team, as Curry, Thompson, and Green have all already been there.

With the trust, the teammates all have in each other, and with Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole both capable of lighting it up, the Warriors are just unstoppable most nights.

The Celtics will put up a fight and maybe take a game or two but expect the Warriors to win their fourth championship in less than a decade with Steph Curry earning his first Finals MVP.
