Best MACtion Bets This Week: Conference Races Heat Up

In case you missed it last week, the MACtion was tremendous as the league got back to playing games on Tuesday and Wednesday. There is another loaded schedule this week, and it should be another exciting few days of games.

With the conference races heating up in each division, here are three of the best MACtion bets for this week.

Miami (OH) RedHawks -7.0 vs. Buffalo Bulls

A pair of 4-5 teams meet up on Tuesday night when the Miami (OH) RedHawks host the Buffalo Bulls. Both of these teams have had interesting seasons, and you could make the case that each team has been a disappointment.

Miami just went on the road and suffered a two-point loss to Ohio last week, and the RedHawks are hoping to bounce back in a hurry. Buffalo was blown out at home to Bowling Green at the end of October in a stunning defeat.

There should actually be some defense played in this game, especially when it comes to Miami. The RedHawks are giving up just 23.7 points per game, and that unit is going to take control of this matchup.

Buffalo is nearly impossible to stop once they get the ground game going, but Miami will set the tone early. The RedHawks are winning this game by seven points or more.

Eastern Michigan Eagles -7.0 vs. Ohio Bobcats

Ohio has been great in rivalry games this season, knocking off both Akron and Miami (OH). Unfortunately for the Bobcats, they have not won another game outside of the state, and they are in for a tough matchup on Tuesday night.

Eastern Michigan has been a huge surprise this season as they have roared out to a 6-3 record. The Eagles have now won two straight games, and they have an offense that can break this game wide open.

Ohio just doesn’t score enough points on offense, and the defense won’t be good enough on Tuesday night. Keeping this game under 20 points is going to be a challenge for the Bobcats, especially on the road.

Take the Eastern Michigan Eagles -7.0 as this game turns into a rout.

Kent State Golden Flashes +2.5 at Central Michigan Chippewas

Kent State comes into this game with a ton of momentum after knocking off the Northern Illinois Huskies a week ago. The Golden Flashes are actually underdogs on Wednesday night at Central Michigan in a game that should feature a ton of points.

Kent State comes into this game rushing for over 235 yards per game, and they are facing a team that doesn’t stop the run very well. Central Michigan has been great at attacking teams through the air, but there are some flaws for the Chippewas.

The over/under for this game is set at 72.0 points which shows how high-scoring this game might be. Central Michigan has won three of its last four games, but Kent State is just playing better at this time.

Take the points and bet on Kent State, or you can just bet on them to win this game outright on the road.
