College Football Playoff Semifinal Betting Guide: Odds, Picks and Predictions for December 31

It's time! College Football Playoff time is finally upon us. For the first time, a Group of Five school is represented in Cincinnati. Michigan, Georgia and Alabama are also suitors for college football's top prize.

Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic (Alabama vs. Cincinnati)

3:30pm Kickoff: ESPN

For the first time in College Football Playoff history, a Group of Five school has made it. Carrying the torch are the Bearcats of the University of Cincinnati, they will have a tough test as they have to face the top overall seed and defending College Football Playoff champs in the Nick Saban led Alabama Crimson Tide.

The over/under on this game is 57.5 and Alabama is favored to win by 13.5. This is Cincinnati's first test of this caliber so the question to be asked is can they cover the spread?

Capital One Orange Bowl (Michigan vs Georgia)

7:30pm Kickoff: ESPN

The No. 2 ranked Michigan Wolverines finally beat their menace in Ohio State and followed that up by taking it it to Iowa in the Big Ten title game. They will face off against a Georgia squad who for most of the season was looking like a sure lock for the No. 1 overall seed in the playoffs. This will be a dogfight and a fun game to watch.

The over/under for this game is 45 points and Georgia are currently 7.5 point favorites to win this matchup. What makes this interesting is we really could have a rematch of this year's SEC title game in the National Championship.
